Warren police had no suspects in custody Sunday in connection with the Saturday shooting death of a Youngstown woman reported at 10:51 p.m. in the Fairview Gardens apartment complex.
According to a press release issued by the Warren Police Department through the Trumbull County 911 Center, officers responding to reports of gunfire found the body of the female in the area of a parking lot off Duke Street Southeast.
A resident in the neighborhood said the shooting “sounded like World War III,” according to 21 WFMJ-TV, The Vindicator’s broadcast partner.
Body found in field
WARREN
Warren police detectives are investigating the shooting death of an unidentified male whose body was found in a field in the 2400 block of Northwest Boulevard about 5:30 p.m. Sunday. Police found the body after receiving a call about a possible person down in the field.
