Holy Family Seniors Group will meet at 11:30 a.m. Monday in Holy Family Parish Hall, 2729 Center Road, Poland. Hostesses will be Milly Chopp and Theresa Pesa. Mahoning Retired Teachers Association will meet Sept. 13 at the Georgetown, 5945 South Ave., Boardman. A social will begin at 11 a.m., and lunch will be at 11:45. The meeting and program will follow. Susan Harris will preside, and newly retired educators will be introduced. Jocelyn Dabney, storyteller, will present the program. This month’s community service project will be back-to-school supplies and monetary donations to the YMCA program, “Young Women with Bright Futures.” All area retired educators are invited. Niles SCOPE Senior Center, 14 East State St., is taking reservations now for the trip at 9 a.m. Dec. 1. The bus will depart for the Ohio Playhouse Theater for “A Christmas Carol.” Lunch will be at Massimo da Milano, returning at approximately 5 p.m.
