A summary of police activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown:

CANFIELD township

Aug. 5

Disorderly conduct: Leigh Wright, 25, of St. Andrews, Canfield, was arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal trespassing after he was discovered sleeping in the garage of residents who did not know him in the 50 block of Topaz Circle.

Aug.10

Drug abuse: Angel Phillips, 41, of West 4th Street, Salem was arrested for obstructing official business and drug abuse.

Aug. 13

Drug paraphernalia: Ambrose Smith, 42, of Alliance was arrested for drug paraphernalia.

AUSTINTOWN

Aug. 7

Theft: A Chase debit card was stolen from another person at Phoenix House, 850 N. Meridian Road.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged at Elixir, 4278 New Road.

Drug offense: Deandre Tally, 23, of Chicago Avenue, Youngstown was arrested for possession of heroin, and Crashawn Hudson, 21, of Chicago Ave., Youngstown was also arrested for possession of heroin, aggravated trafficking and possession of drugs, including oxycodone.

Disorderly conduct: Autumn Sirlouis, 28, of South Navarre Avenue, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct outside the BadaBing, 3661 Mahoning Ave.

Aug. 8

Drug offense: James William, 30, of Steel St., Youngstown was issued a summons for possession of marijuana at Bill’s Place, 4771 Mahoning Ave.

Identity theft: An unauthorized account was opened at a home in the 5000 block of Tulane Ave.

Recovered property: A passport was located at Certified Oil, 825 N. Niles-Canfield Road.

Menacing: Verbal threats were made at Biotest, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Aggravated burglary: A burglary was reported at a home in the 3000 block of Lanterman Road.

Aug. 9

Drug offense: Cortney Kula, 21, and Peter Spare, 25, both of Idlewood Road, were both charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, found when police responded to a disturbance call.

Aug. 9

Theft: A credit card was stolen and used in Youngstown at a home in the 100 block of North Main Street.

Theft: An electric hedge trimmer and weed whacker were stolen from a home in the 90 block of Kenmar Court.

Auto theft: A 2003 Kawasaki motorcycle was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Blvd.

Falsification: A suspect lied at an apartment in the 900 block of Compass West Apartments.

Theft: Randy Pence, 34, of Meadowbrook Drive, Leavittsburg, was arrested for theft of $1,061.23 in merchandise at Walmart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

Aug. 10

Lost or stolen property: A wallet was lost or stolen at the Hollywood Gaming, 777 Hollywood Blvd. The owner was described as highly intoxicated.

Theft: A theft was reported in the 3000 block of state Route 46.

Theft: A fraudulent return was reported at Walmart.

Theft: An iPad-2 was stolen from Country Inn and Suites, 5579 Interstate Blvd.

Drug offense: Michael Miller, 48 of West Earle Avenue, Youngstown, and David Lynch, 53, of Ferndale Avenue, Youngstown were both issued summonses for possession of marijuana. Lynch was charged with drug abuse of the drug.

Identity theft: A name and address were used to cancel cable services.

Drug offense: Cary Gurley, 39, of Atlanta Avenue was issued a summons for possession of marijuana.

Aug. 11

Theft: Ceazia Redding, 19, of Main St., Mineral Ridge was arrested for theft of $202 in merchandise at WalMart.

Drug offense: Tyreese Perry, 23, of Westchester Ave. was arrested for possession of five suboxone strips, drug paraphernalia and a black digital scale with a white powder residue.

Aug. 11

Theft: A voucher was taken and cashed at Hollywood Gaming, 777 Hollywood Drive.

Aug. 12

Warrant: Logan Stancato, 19, of Westorgan Ave., Sebring was arrested on two warrants, including two for theft, including one incident for $93.70 and another for $56.24 in merchandise, each time at Walmart.

Burglary: A door was damaged at a home in the 400 block of South Raccoon Road.

Disorderly conduct: Dillon McKenna, 23, of Lesterville, Mo. was issued a summons for disorderly conduct at the TA Travel Center, 5400 Seventy-six Drive.

Oct. 13

Criminal trespassing: Randall Balog, 25, of Norquest Boulevard, was charged with criminal trespassing at JR’Z Pub, 1722 S. Raccoon Road.

Drug offense: Christal Frye, 34, of Nottingham Avenue, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and drug abuse instruments and John Willison, 51, of Parkgate Avenue, Struthers, was charged with breaking and entering in Struthers.
