Founder of the 100+ Foundation honored

Founder of the 100+ Foundation, Anner Hardin, was honored at a ceremony Aug. 13 at Heavenly Place Church of God in Christ, Youngstown. She was born in Swainsboro, Ga., and moved to Jacksonville, Fla., when she was 10 years old. She committed herself to the Lord in the mid 1970s.

Hardin’s children are B. Dwayne Hardin, who is a pastor in Atlanta, Ga.; Alisa S. (Lorne) Hardin-Laney, psalmist and cosmetologist with two granddaughters; and Tammye T. Hardin, teacher and educator with two grandsons. Hardin also has a goddaughter, Frances F. (Derrick) Wansley, with two granddaughters.

Hardin graduated from Cleveland School of Ministry and attended Moody Bible Institute. She worked for Youngstown State University as a supervisor and an accountant, Youngstown Youth Academy as office manager and payroll department and Zion Steps of Greater Learning as the operations manager and accountant.

She has been involved in many areas of community service, and her hobbies include caring for senior citizens, making silk floral arrangements, designing photo albums and more.

She founded the foundation because she felt compelled to honor women who have been faithful servants in their neighborhoods, communities and churches. The foundation will honor women each year.
