Community Cup competitions begin

YOUNGSTOWN

The 28th annual Youngstown area Community Cup began competitions Aug. 11 at the Central YMCA in downtown Youngstown. The event chairwoman, Judge Theresa Dellick, kicked off the opening ceremonies with a remarks and a torch lighting.

The theme of this year’s event is “Lean & Mean in 2017.” The team banner competition and the pep rally and cheer competition immediately followed.

Aug. 25: basketball and swimming

Aug. 26th: golf scramble, bowling

Aug. 27th: volleyball

Sept. 9th: 10K relay, time prediction walk, time prediction bike, obstacle course, tug-o-war, awards ceremony
