Bullet hole found in SUV on Youngstown's South Side

YOUNGSTOWN — Police found a bullet hole about 10:10 p.m. Tuesday in an SUV after responding to a gunshot sensor activation in the first block of St. Louis Avenue on the South Side.

Officers responding found the SUV in a parking lot behind a Market Street store. Reports said the driver told police he had parked there earlier and two men got out of a car that pulled up across the street. When the man tried to drive away, one of the other men pulled a gun and fired one round.

Officers found a .45-caliber shell casing where the driver had originally parked, reports said. He was not injured.
