The long awaited cage return of Dalton Rosta and an elimination bout featuring Warren’s Dante Pennachio will highlight Chuck Haskell’s 16-fight amateur MMA card on Sept. 9 at Yankee Lake, 1800 state Route 7.
Entitled “Yankee Lake Brawlroom 47,” Rosta carries a 2-0 mark in his return while Pennachio is 6-4 overall and slowly making his way back to the cage.
“I am especially excited about this card because there will be a lot of young talent making their fighting debuts,” Haskell said. “The card is filled with up and coming, talented fighters just looking to break out.
“Many fights will set the stage for multiple title pairings on our upcoming Nov. 22 card” at St. Lucy’s Palermo Center in Campbell.”
In addition to Rosta’s anticipated return at 205 pounds and Pennachio’s elimination bout at 135 pounds, Next Level Jiu Jitsu’s Isiah Jackson will make his second MMA appearance when he takes on Al Gerguric of Pittsburgh.
Gerguric is making his debut at 165 pounds while Thomas is coming off a quick win in his last fight on April 29 during Haskell’s Yankee Lake Brawl Room 46 card.
“This card happens the day before Thanksgiving so think of it as an MMA feast,” Haskell said. “I need to thank all of the local fighters, fans and gyms that support both MMA and boxing.
“It is truly inspiring to see these competitors put their skills and training on the line after months of preparation for their fight,” Haskell said. “The event is the end of a long prep process and I commend all of the fighters who take this journey, then go out and participate in any of our connected sports.
“It’s exciting, challenging and this is the one card that I am particularly looking forward to.”
Campbell martial arts fighter Brian Burke is set to take on Marco Velazquez of Butler while Matt Ingram, also from Campbell, makes his MMA debut when he goes up against Casey Jones.

“We are still trying to match a few fights, so if you think you have what it takes in order to step into the cage or ring, I am interested in receiving your phone call,” Haskell said.
