SENIOR CITIZENS

AARP 3104 Canfield will take an overnight bus and boat trip Tuesday and Wednesday to Blennerhassett State Park on the Ohio River. The group will tour the mansion and take a wagon ride through the grounds of the island. The trip includes one night accommodations in New Philadelphia at the Holiday Inn Express. An outdoor drama, “Trumpet in the Land” and the musical, “The Home Game,” at the Carlisle Theater are also included. The group also will make stops in Charm, Berlin and Lehman’s Hardware. Girard OldTimers Club will meet at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Lamancusa Restaurant on Trumbull Road in Girard.

Holy Family Seniors Group will meet at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 21 in Holy Family Parish Hall, 2729 Center Road, Poland. Hostesses will be Milly Chopp and Theresa Pesa. Liberty 55 Plus will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday for its annual catered picnic at First Christian Assembly Church, 3243 Cardinal Drive, Liberty. Lunch will begin at 1 p.m. with LeeAnne Martyak presiding. Hostessess will be Dorothy Filaccio, Dolly Rebraca and Antoinette Stumpo. Cards will be played and August birthdays acknowledged.

Niles SCOPE Senior Center, 14 East State St., is taking reservations for a trip at 9 a.m. Dec. 1. The bus will depart for the Ohio Playhouse Theater for “A Christmas Carol.” Lunch will be at Massimo da Milano with a return at approximately 5 p.m.

Sears Friendship Club will meet at noon Monday at What’s Cookin’ in Boardman.
