HONORED

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will honor several local business professionals at Salute to Business 2017 Aug. 31 at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center, 7440 South Ave., Boardman.

Award recipients and their respective awards are: Mitchell Joseph, chairman/CEO of Joseph Co. International & West Coast Chill, Business Professional of the Year; Jessica Borza, executive director, Mahoning Valley Manufacturers Coalition, Business Advocate of the Year; Dr. Farid Naffah, Avamar Gastroenterology/Founder, Avamar Foundation, Nonprofit Professional of the Year; Mike S. Senchak and Michael R. Senchak, owners of FirstLight Home Care of the Valley, Entrepreneur of the Year; Michael Rulli, Rulli Bros., Small Business Professional of the Year; and Carlton Ingram, business representative, Operating Engineers Local No. 66 and vice president, Western Reserve Building & Construction Trades, Salute to Labor Achievement.

RECOGNITION

The Ohio Propane Gas Association presented state Sen. Sean O’Brien of Bazetta, D-32nd, with an award during its 69th annual summer convention in Geneva-on-the-Lake. The group recognized O’Brien as the 2017 “Legislator of the Year” for his commitment to advancing the development and use of propane and other alternative fuels in Ohio.

HIRED

EvenBay Real Estate has hired Kathy Siglow.

Siglow is from New Jersey, where she managed a small business for 22 years.

Her specialties included sales, customer service and business marketing and finance. She will be working in the Howland office.

The Flynn Automotive Group recently announced hiring two new managers to its team along with one manager relocating.

Todd Dauterman has joined Donnell Ford-Lincoln of Salem as general manager after more than nine years selling the Ford product in Columbiana County. He replaces Davey Jones, who returns to Donnell Ford in Boardman as sales manager.

Jeff Kelly has joined the group as marketing manager, replacing Patty Morris, who retires after 27 years with the Flynn Group.
