Dog killed in Austintown house fire

AUSTINTOWN — The fire department responded to a house fire at 8 a.m. today at a home at 227 S. Edgehill Ave. The owners were not home, but one of three dogs died in the fire.

Fire Chief Andy Frost said the inside of the home is a total loss, but the outside structure is still standing. Officials are at the site determining the fire’s cause.
