ASSOCIATIONS

Mahoning Valley Real Estate Investors Association will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday at Boardman Park. Larry Goins will speak on how to take a rundown, $5,000 home and earn more money than a typical investor will. Admission is free for first-time guests with a meal option for $7. Moose Club is looking for former and prospective members in the Youngstown and Niles area to begin meetings. There will not be a program following this meeting. Special interest programs following meetings will resume in September with a presentation about the “History of Poland Churches”.

William Holmes McGuffey Historical Society will meet at 10 a.m. Aug. 19 at Kravitz’s Deli, 3135 Belmont Ave. Special guest, Senator Harry Meshel, retired Ohio congressman and former head of the Ohio Democratic Party, will retell growing up on Youngstown’s East Side and the heyday of the Mahoning Valley.
