Golf Tournament to benefit Alchemy Acres Animal Sanctuary

Alchemy Acres Animal Sanctuary will host its annual Gavin Ward Memorial Golf Tournament on Aug. 19 at Olde Dutch Mill Golf Course, 2745 Grandview Road, Lake Milton. The registration fee is $65 per person and includes a golf cart, beverages, breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The format is a four-person scramble. Teams that register and pay by Saturday will receive a dozen golf balls.

Prizes will be featured on each hole, and the grand prize is a two-year lease on a new Chevy Equinox which will be awarded to a player who achieves a hole-in-one on the eighth hole. Prizes are donated by Sweeney Chevrolet. The first team will be awarded $300, the second team receives $200 and the third team gets $100.

The golf tournament is named in honor of Gavin Ward, a young volunteer at Alchemy Acres who passed away at the age of 12.
