Art exhibition at Butler branch

An exhibtion of works by Merryl Berner Cicourel titled “Retrospectively Reimaging Cultural Landscapes” will open Sunday at the Butler Institute of American Art’s Trumbull Branch, 9350 E. Market St., and run through Oct. 8. An opening reception with the artist will take place Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m.
Family fun night at Boardman Park

A free family event will take place Saturday at the Maag Outdoor Theatre at Boardman Park, featuring the animated movie “Sing.”
Guests can bring lawn chairs and blankets. Concessions will be sold.
The evening will begin at 6 p.m., with a children’s bounce house, Jocko the balloon man, hayrides and more. The band River Hawk will perform from 6:30 to 8 p.m., and Porgie the Clown will entertain at 8:15. The movie will be screened at dusk.
Those who wish to camp can bring tents and sleeping bags. A campfire and s’mores will be part of the evening, and a continental breakfast will be provided Sunday morning. The registration fee for camp-out is $7 per family. Registration forms can be picked up in the park office, or by calling the office at 330-726-8105.
