Live wildlife program
MERCER, PA.
Mercer County Conservation District invites the public to a special live wildlife program from 6:40 to 8 p.m. Wednesday that showcases Tamarack Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center from Saegertown, Pa. Attendees will get to see animals that Tamarack has nursed back to health, but were not fit to be released. To pre-register, call 724-662-2242. Suggested donation is $5 to go directly toward the costs it takes to care for Tamarack’s injured, sick, and educational animals. For information, call 724-662- 2242 or visit www.munnellrunfarm.org.
Road restrictions
WARREN
The Ohio Department of Transportation has announced upcoming restrictions in Trumbull and Mahoning counties.
Mesopotamia: State Route 87 between state Route 534 and state Route 538 will be closed Aug. 14-16 for a culvert replacement. Detour is state Route 528 to state Route 88 to state Route 534.
Austintown, Liberty, Girard: The Interstate 80 westbound ramp to Salt Springs Road will be closed Aug. 15 through mid-September. Detour will be I-80 westbound to Salt Springs Road to I-80 eastbound.
Austintown, Lake Milton: Interstate 76 over Lake Milton and I-80 over Meander Reservoir has various daily lane restrictions until further notice between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. for bridge repairs and bridge sealing. The work is part of a $2 million project to seal various bridges in Ashtabula, Mahoning, Portage, Stark, Summit and Trumbull counties. The entire project should be completed by December 2018.
Lakeview meal policy

Lakeview School District announced its 2017-18 policy for free and reduced-price meals for students unable to pay full price of meals or milk. Each school office and the central office has a copy of the policy for review. Applications will be distributed to all homes. Celebrating Regula
ALLIANCE
The life and legacy of the late Ralph Regula, retired U.S. congressman, will be celebrated at University of Mount Union from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday. Regula, who died July 19 at age 92, served in the House of Representatives 1973-2008 and was a trustee emeritus of Mount Union, where he graduated in 1948. The event will be hosted by Mount Union’s Ralph and Mary Regula Center for Public Service and Civic Engagement in Riggs Memorial Plaza, south of Campus Lakes. It will be moved to Peterson Field House in case of inclement weather.
