Literary Society event Aug. 17 features Mary Kay Andrews

The Literary Society of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County is bringing best-selling writer Mary Kay Andrews to town on Aug. 17 as the featured author for its August Literary Society event at the Main Library, 305 Wick Ave.

Doors open at 6 p.m. with a cocktail and appetizer reception which includes a cash bar. A complimentary glass of wine and dessert will also be served. Seating is available for the evening.

Andrews is a New York Times best-selling author of 24 novels including “The Weekenders,” “Beach Town,” “Ladies’ Night,” “Summer Rental,” “Deep Dish” and “Hissy Fit.”

Andrews will give a presentation at 7 p.m. and sign autographs afterwards. A professional photographer will be on hand to take photos of attendees with the author. Tickets are now on sale. The cost for a reservation is $70. This includes a copy of her best-seller, “The Beach House Cookbook” and a Literary Society membership.

Sponsorships are available for this event at the following levels: $250, two seats; $500, four seats; and $1,000, eight seats.
