Hubbard Elementary School open house, kindergarten orientation this month

Parents, guardians and students are invited to the fall open house at Hubbard Elementary School, 150 Hall Ave., from 2 to 4 p.m. Aug. 22 for an informal meet and greet.

Attendees can meet their child’s teacher, drop off the required forms and school supplies and learn what will be taking place this year in the classroom.

Special-education teachers will be available, as well as teachers of art, music, computers and gym. A representative from the bus garage also will be on hand to answer any transportation questions.

Meanwhile, parents, guardians and students are invited to attend kindergarten orientation at the school at 9 a.m. Aug. 30.

Parents will drop off their child in their homeroom and report to the cafeteria for an introductory meeting with the principal. The first official full day of kindergarten is Aug. 31.
