Tri-Gold Prime Time Chapter of ABWA will meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. Social will begin at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6. The menu consists of hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, baked beans, fruit, coffee and tea and brownies. The newly elected members have taken on the responsibilities of their offices. Newcomers Club of Canfield will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday for a meet and greet at the home of Diane Durrant. Appetizers and beverages will be provided and there will be a raffle. The group will be collecting back-to-school supplies for the homeless and disadvantaged children at Beatitude House. Traditional supplies are needed as well as flash drives, tissues, hand sanitizer, paper towels, Play-Doh, backpacks, Ziploc bags and gift cards to buy school clothing. Austintown Junior Women’s League members recently attended the Ohio Federation of Women’s Clubs’ State Federation Leadership Day at Enchanted Acres in Columbus. The conference offered leadership ideas and team-building exercises. Guest speaker Rosemary Thomas, Ed.D. gave a talk titled “Play the Hand You’re Dealt.” The AJWL will sponsor an open membership meeting at 6 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Austintown Senior Center on Westchester Drive in Austintown.
