FOOD SALES AND DINNERS


THURSDAY

Central Christian Church, 2051 E. Market St., Warren, will host its annual strawberry social from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday. in the fellowship hall. The menu includes hot dogs, chili dogs, sloppy joes, potato salad, baked beans, strawberry shortcake or ice cream with or without strawberries and beverages. Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road, will have homemade dinners to go from 3 p.m. until sold out. The menu includes baked, stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and green beans. Drive up to front doors to order, and food will be delivered to your car. The cost is $7. Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, will host a drive-through chicken dinner from 4 p.m. until sold out. A stuffed chicken breast comes with mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans and a brownie for $8 each meal.

FRIDAY

Canfield Lions Club will have a fish fry from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield. Meals include a choice of baked or fried fish; macaroni and cheese, haluski, pirogi or french fries; green beans or cole slaw; roll, dessert and beverage. The cost is $11.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $11 for adults and $6 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.75. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

SUNDAY

VFW Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve a homestyle breakfast sponsored by the auxiliary from 8 a.m. to noon. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12. The menu consists of eggs, hash browns, sausage or ham, pancakes or freedom toast, toast and coffee or tea.

TUESDAY

First United Methodist Church of Columbiana, 210 S. Main St., is hosting a drive-through ham dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. The cost is $7 and includes sliced ham, redskin parsley potatoes, green beans, applesauce and a brownie. For information, call the church at 330-482-2382.
