SENIOR CITIZENS

Canfield AARP 3104 will meet at the Canfield Presbyterian Church at 1 p.m. Monday. Blood pressure checks will be from noon to 12:45 p.m. Canfield Middle School Band, under the direction of Jim Volenik, will entertain. An overnight bus trip will be June 16-17 to Renfro Valley and Noah’s Ark in Kentucky. Information will be available at meetings for a trip in August to Blennerhassatt Mansion on the Ohio River, a fall foliage trip and a fall mystery trip. For information, call Barbara at 330-757-0780. Lowellville Senior Citizens will meet at noon Friday in the conference room of Lowellville City Hall, 140 E. Liberty St. Ernie Ciarniello will preside. Lunch will be provided by Phyllis Nolfi, Gianna’s Catering. Bingo and a 50-50 raffle will follow the business meeting. May birthdays and anniversaries will be acknowledged. Mahoning Retired Teachers Association will meet at 11 a.m. May 10 for lunch at The Georgetown, 5945 South Ave., Boardman. Lunch will be served at 11:45, followed by a meeting. Susan Harris will preside. Sally Winsen will lead In-Memoriam, Martha Lopez will lead In-Remembrance, and there will be a recognition of members 90-years-old and older. Struthers High School Starlight Singers, directed by Angelo Russo, will perform. The community service project is monetary donations or cleaning projects for Habitat for Humanity. SOAR 27-2 and 27-6 Steelworkers Retirees, Local Union 1330 and 1331, will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at Smith Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Niles-Canfield Road, Austintown. Refreshments will be served. New members are welcome.

St. Angela Merici Senior Moments will gather for a spring fling meeting and lunch at 11:30 a.m. May 10 at the church hall, 400 Lincoln Park Drive, Youngstown.

Trumbull Memorial Hospital Retirees will meet at 11:30 a.m. May 8 at Buena Vista Cafe in Warren. Laurie Barber, CNO at TMH, will be the speaker. All retirees and former employees are welcome.

Youngstown Saxon Club Retirees will meet at 11:30 a.m. May 11 at the Youngstown Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road. Dinner will be served at noon.

Youngstown State University Freetimers monthly breakfast will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday at Davidson’s in Cornersburg. All retirees are invited.
