1992: A pipe that carries water from Berlin Reservoir to drought-stricken Meander Reservoir will cost $20,000 to repair, but resulted in a loss of less than 200,000 gallons of water before it was discovered and pumps shut off.

Melissa Colonna is pulled from her car that overturned in a creek off Four Mile Run Road. She was kept alive by a small air pocket until being rescued by Arthur Spiro, who lived near the crash, and Austintown patrolmen Robert Gavalier and Emil Grahovic and auxiliary officers Michael Davis and Thomas Collins.
