Greenbriar Healthcare Center hosted a special Brunch with the Bunny followed by an Easter Egg Hunt on April 1.
The free event was open to guests of all ages to enjoy a brunch. Following the brunch was an egg hunt for children 12 and under at the Commons at Greenbriar.
Guests came to Greenbriar Healthcare Center with their friends and family to eat brunch, work on crafts and visit with the Easter Bunny. There was a variety of brunch food set out for the guests to select what they wanted to eat. Several guests attended the brunch and more were expected to come to the egg hunt.
As the guests ate, the Easter Bunny would walk around to take pictures with them and see the crafts the children worked on. When everyone was finished with their brunch, they made their way to the Commons to begin the hunt for the 2,000 hidden Easter eggs.
“We wanted to do something different, something intergenerational. We wanted to incorporate our nursing home and assisted living residents with the kids,” said Natalie Walzcak, Executive Director of Greenbriar.
When everyone got to the Commons, the children ages 4-12 explored top to bottom to find eggs and children aged 3 and under had an egg hunt in their own special room. All of the eggs had a piece of candy inside and the children got to keep whatever they found.
Greenbriar Healthcare Center hosts various events throughout the year to bring fun and togetherness to the community.
