‘The Wizard of Oz’

The Oakland Center for the Arts and its Kids First Theatre Initiative will present “The Wizard of Oz” for six performances at Trinity Fellowship Church, 4749 South Ave., Boardman. Curtain times are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and May 5 and 6; and 2:30 p.m. Sunday and May 7. For ticket information or reservations, call 330-406-0606. The production will incorporate video and rigging that will enable characters to fly. Brendan Byers is the artistic director. The role of Dorothy is being split between Cortney MacKay and Adrianna Quinlan. The cast also includes Joe Malys, Alex Sanders, Byers, Debbie DiBacco, Bridget Donofrio, AJ Platt, Reba Babyak, David El’Hatton, Connor Pauley and dozens of children as munchkins, monkeys and black crows. Pictured are the two Dorothys, MacKay and Quinlan. The theater company has teamed with Angels for Animals and will have pets available for adoption during the run of the show.
