CANFIELD
Chad Scianna is pulling out the recipes he’s had in his back pocket for years for the new Forty10 Bar & Grille that is officially opening Thursday.
The menu features what Scianna calls “New American” dishes such as gourmet macaroni and cheese and noodle dishes made with a wok. But there’s also seafood and steak options.
“[This] is really different for me because for the past 21 years I have done all Italian,” Scianna said. “I just needed a total change of pace.”
The restaurant at 4010 Boardman-Canfield Road had a soft opening last week and will have a grand-opening celebration from 7 to 10 p.m. Thursday with a dueling pianos performance.
Scianna, restaurant operator, has been working on the new restaurant concept since he left Chad Anthony’s Italian Grille & Pub in January.
Scianna calls the atmosphere of the new bar and grille cool and comfortable. Eventually there will be an outside patio added.
Forty10, he said, gives customers menu diversity.
Forty10 offers lunch and dinner options during the week and will have Sunday brunch with bottomless mimosas and a Bloody Mary bar.
“Everything there is homemade,” he said. “It’s by far the freshest kitchen I have ever been in with.”
Forty10 also does catering and delivery, Scianna said.
