FOOD SALES AND DINNERS


THURSDAY

Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 550 N. Broad St., Canfield, will offer drive-through chicken dinners from 3 to 6 p.m. Meals will consist of chicken parmesan, spaghetti, three-bean salad, roll with butter and cake. The cost is $9 per dinner, cash only, and proceeds will go to ministry expenses. Each customer may receive a $1 discount if they take a can of vegetables which will be donated to a charity organization such as Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley. VFW Col. Louis J. Campbell Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. The cost is $7.50 for adults and $4 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $8 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

FRIDAY

Christ Our Savior Parish at Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. The cost is $6 a dozen. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.

Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. The cost is $6 a dozen. Phone orders may be made from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday and beginning at 7 a.m. Friday at 330-755-1316. Orders can be picked up from noon to 2 p.m.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $11 for adults and $6 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.75. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will take orders for potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 per dozen. No containers are necessary. Orders should be placed from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday at 330-746-9528 or 330-744-5820, and are to be picked up between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday at the church hall. Hot lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $7 for a baker’s dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins welcome. Use the side entrance.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $5.75 a dozen. Cabbage pirogi orders are limited to three dozen per customer. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from noon to 3 p.m. Friday. Walk-ins are welcome.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, sells potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $6.50 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-in orders are welcome.

SATURDAY

Angels for Animals, 4750 W. South Range Road, Canfield, will host its Spring Fling Pancake Breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $8 per person for all-you-can-eat. Tickets for children 6-years-old and under are $5. Menu includes regular and specialty pancakes, sausage, bacon, pastries, home fries, toast, scrambled eggs, mixed fruit, orange juice, coffee, milk and tea. There will be basket and 50-50 raffles. Proceeds will benefit the Feline Voucher Project in Columbiana. For information call the shelter at 330-549-1111.

Braceville United Methodist Church, off state Route 82, will serve a stuffed pork chop dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. or until sold out. It includes mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, coleslaw, applesauce, homemade desserts, bread, coffee, tea or punch. The cost is $10 for adults and $4 for children. Takeout will be available.

Greenford Lutheran Church, 7450 W. South Range Road (Route 165), will host a drive-through chicken pot-pie supper from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Adult dinners are $9, and children’s portions are $4.50. Dinners include mashed potatoes and gravy, coleslaw, applesauce and fruit pie. To order a whole pot pie for $20, call 330-533-5324. Leave your name, phone number and how many pies you would like, baked or unbaked.

Newton Falls Kiwanis Club will host its annual steak cookout benefit from 4 to 7 p.m. at Newton Falls United Methodist Church, 336 Ridge Road. Dinners include salad, potato, corn, dessert and beverage for $15. Proceeds will benefit youth events and scholarships. Carryout will be available. Reservations are welcome at 330-872-3854. North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will host an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet from 7 to 10 a.m. for a donation. Menu items include eggs, pancakes, french toast, sausage, potatoes, pastries, sausage gravy and biscuits, peppers and mushrooms, coffee, orange juice and other beverages. SUNDAY

Southington American Legion Post will serve an all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the legion home, 3145 Warren Burton Road. Adults are $7, $4 for under 12, and under 4 eats free. Biscuits and gravy also are offered.

TUESDAY

Coalburg United Methodist Church, 1906 Wick-Campbell Road, Hubbard, will host a Swiss steak dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost is $9 for adults and $5 for children. The menu includes mashed potatoes, vegetable, coleslaw, bread and beverage. Baked goods and takeout will be available.
