Individuals who wish to obtain licensure as an Ohio real-estate salesman or saleswoman will have the opportunity to begin coursework in the Williamson College of Business Administration at Youngstown State University in May.

New Dollar General

Dollar General will have the grand opening of its relocated store at 6920 Tod Ave. SW at 8 a.m. Saturday.

The first 50 adult shoppers will receive a $10 Dollar General gift card and the first 200 shoppers will receive a Dollar General tote bag with complimentary product samples, among other giveaways.

Lessee to buy

COLUMBUS

The state Controlling Board signed off on a $150,000 low-interest loan Monday for a Youngstown company looking to purchase the property it leases.

Jensen Lock & Alarm has operated at the Belmont Avenue site for decades, according to documents. The commercial and residential locksmith company serves Northeast Ohio and west-central Pennsylvania.

Purchasing the commercial property will “increase efficiency, support expansion and create jobs,” according to documents. With the state loan the company would commit to creating one new job and retaining another four.

CFPB calls out Ocwen

WASHINGTON

U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, a Democrat from Cleveland, applauded a recent action by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau against Ocwen Financial Corp.

The CFPB alleges that Ocwen, one of the nation’s largest nonbank mortgage servicers, for years “engaged in significant and systemic misconduct at nearly every stage of the mortgage servicing process.” Ocwen has been the subject of several enforcement actions and more than 23,000 CFPB complaints, including 675 complaints from Ohioans.

In Mahoning County, there were 11 complaints made; in Trumbull there were five; and in Columbiana there were two.

SEPHORA expansions

J.C. Penney and SEPHORA are making beauty accessible to even more customers across the country with the addition of 70 new SEPHORA inside J.C. Penney locations and 32 expansions beginning May 5.

None of the additions or expansions will take place at local J.C. Penney stores.

Introduced in 2006, SEPHORA inside J.C. Penney is an exclusive beauty destination offering a curated selection of makeup, fragrances, skin and haircare brands that will be available in nearly 650 J.C. Penney stores in 2017.

In addition to the 70 new locations opening over the next few months, 32 current SEPHORA inside J.C. Penney shops will expand in size by nearly 50 percent to accommodate more products and client services.
