UPDATE | MCCTC students back in classrooms after police check out threat

CANFIELD

Students at Mahoning County Career and Technical Center have returned to the classroom after a threat there was determined by Canfield police as not creditable.

They been evacuated for about 30 minutes while police investigated a threat. There was no early dismissal and parents were kept informed.

Community outreach coordinator Jessica Cene said there was an unspecified threat written on the bathroom wall.

MCCTC, located at 7300 N. Palmyra Road, evacuated all students and faculty as a precaution and notified all parents.
