“Genius” (9 p.m., National Geographic Channel): How much do you really know about Albert Einstein? If all you came up with is “E=mc 2,” check out this absorbing 10-episode miniseries starring Geoffrey Rush as the acclaimed physicist. Executive produced by Brian Grazer and Ron Howard, “Genius” tracks Einstein’s rise from humble origins as a rebellious teen (played by Johnny Flynn), through his struggles to be recognized by the establishment, to his global fame as the man who unlocked the mysteries of the cosmos. The solid cast also includes Emily Watson, T.R. Knight and Vincent Kartheiser.

“Great News” (9 p.m., NBC): The new workplace comedy “Great News” debuts with back-to-back episodes. The show follows a cable news producer (Briga Heelan) who is horrified when her overly involved mother (Andrea Martin) lands an internship at her office.

‘Starcatcher’ musical postponed

Easy Street Productions has postponed its production of the musical “Peter and the Starcatcher” until Nov. 10-12, said Todd Hancock, director of the theater company. The performances were originally scheduled for May 5-6 and 12-14.

‘Standing Rock’ film screening at YSU

YOUNGSTOWN

“Awake, A Dream From Standing Rock,” a new film about the native-led peaceful resistance to the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline, will be screened at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Room B112 of Cushwa Hall on the campus of Youngstown State University.

The free screening, hosted by the YSU Lecture Series on Energy and the Environment, is open to the public. Free on-street parking is available after 5 p.m. at the metered spaces along Lincoln Avenue and nearby streets.
