Home Savings Charitable Foundation donated $3,000 to the Salem Regional Medical Center Foundation for the seventh annual Hearts & Stars Gala, which took place March 18 at Avion on the Water Banquet Hall. For the second year, SRMC has named Home Savings a Star of Hope sponsor for the event.

Home Savings also donated to the SRMC Foundation’s capital campaign, which benefits the expansion of the oncology department.

Approximately 280 guests attended the gala, which raised more than $50,000 for the facilities and services.

There were 40 area businesses, organizations and community members who were sponsors. Major sponsors included:

Star of Hope: Firestone Homestead; Home Savings Charitable Foundation; Prout Boiler, Heating & Welding Inc.; Bob and Linda Sebo; Southwoods Cardiology; Team Health; Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home; Woods-Rettig Funeral Home; and Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home.

Star of Promise: 898 Marketing; Avion on the Water; Farmers National Bank/Farmers Trust Company; and Myers Family Insurance, a TLC Affiliate.

Those who did not attend the gala can purchase custom jewelry and ornaments designed for the event at SRMC’s Look Nook Gift Shop. Earrings are available for $14, ornaments for $21, and necklaces for $67. Proceeds will benefit the SRMC Foundation.
