SENIOR MENUS


Easter Seals offers hot, nutritious meals weekdays in Columbiana and Mahoning counties for people 60 or older and their spouses (regardless of age). Reservations are required three days in advance. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Call 330-884-2513 to make reservations, for serving locations or to arrange for home-delivered meals for seniors who are homebound. Transportation is available by calling 330-884-2511. The program office is located at 299 Edwards St., Youngstown.

COLUMBIANA AND MAHONING COUNTIES

Wednesday, April 26: Chicken breast, broccoli, penne, Alfredo sauce, applesauce, cookie, bread and milk

Thursday, April 27: Barbecue turkey on a bun, brussels sprouts, vegetable blend, fruit, juice, cookie and milk

Friday, April 28: Meatloaf, potatoes with gravy, mixed vegetables, applesauce, juice, bread, cookie and milk

Monday, May 1: Chili mac, peas, carrots, dried fruit, cookie, bread and milk

Tuesday, May 2: Teriyaki chicken, blend vegetables, corn, applesauce, juice, bread, cookie and milk

TRUMBULL COUNTY

The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers well-balanced meals at 11 locations in Trumbull County for people 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or over. Reservations must be made two working days in advance. There is no income requirement. Donations are accepted for meals. To make a reservation or for more information, call 330-675-2486. Wednesday, April 26: Roast beef stroganoff over egg noodles, peas and carrots, three-bean salad, dinner roll with margarine, peaches, regular or sugar-free cookie and milk

Thursday, April 27: Southwest meatloaf, whipped potatoes, green beans, Italian bread with margarine, fruit, apple muffin or vanilla wafers and milk

Friday, April 28: Sweet and sour meatballs, rice pilaf, Oriental vegetable blend, tossed salad with Italian dressing, wheat bread with margarine, pineapple tidbits, angel food cake and milk

Monday, May 1: Beef braciole with gravy over egg-noodles, sweet peas, carrots, dinner roll with margarine, pineapple tidbits, ice cream or graham crackers and milk

Tuesday, May 2: Roast turkey with gravy, whipped potatoes, brussels sprouts, wheat bread with margarine, blush pears, regular or sugar-free pudding and milk
