APRIL

29 — Windham-Ravenna Arsenal 5K. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the race starts at 9 a.m. Location is the Ravenna Arsenal entrance behind the school, near the football field and next to the teacher parking lot. The course is inside the arsenal, mostly flat terrain with slight inclines and hills along the route. Adult cost is $20 before April 29 and $25 on race day. Students cost (younger than 18) is $15 before April 29 and $20 on race day. Register at www,gopherarun.com.

30 — Casal’s H2GO 5K Run and Walk at Wick Recreation Area, Mill Creek MetroParks. The run/walk begins at 9 a.m. A kid’s fun run is at 8:45 a.m. Register at www,gopherarun.com. Cost is $25. 5 — Cinco de Mayo 5K, 7 p.m., at Up A Creek Tavern 4793 E. Market St., Howland. Pre-registration is $18. Race-day registration (5:30 p.m.-6:45 p.m.) is $20. Register at www.gopherarun.com.

13 — Second annual Run for Life 5K run/Walk at the Warren Relay for Life. Race Begins at the Trumbull Family Fitness Center, 210 High St. The 5K run begins at 9 a.m. The 5K walk begins at 9:15 a.m. The entry fee is $15 if registered before race day. Runners can register on race day beginning at 8 a.m. at the Fitness Center for $20. Pre-register by April 13to be guaranteed a free t-shirt. Register at www.gopherarun.com. Call 330-841-9411.

20 — Fifth annual Trumbull County FOP No. 137 Run with the Deputies 5K Dash on Courthouse Square in Warren. There will also be a mile walk and quarter-mile kids fun run. Cost for the 5K is $17 for advance registration and $20 on race day (7:30 a.m.-8:45 a.m.). The mile walk is $10. The kids fun run is free. 27 — Second annual DFC Celebrate Recovery 5K, 9 a.m. at Damascus Friends Church. There will also be a 5K walking category, half-mile kids fun run, and an untimed 12-mile bike ride. Medals and gift certificates for the top three runners in each age bracket and $50 cash prize for overall male and female winners. Cost is $15 if registered by May 14. 29 — Freedom Run 5K to benefit Freedom House, a shelter for homeless veterans in Kent. The race also includes a country breakfast with registration and a Dri-Tech t-shirt. Registration forms are available at www.edinburgunitedchurch.org.

29 — Mosquito Lake Chase 5K and 1-mile Run/Walk at Maplewood High School. Both races start at 9 a.m. Cost is $17 for pre-registered runners. Race-day registration (7:30 a.m.) is $20.
