KINSMAN

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources will host a spring bird migration event at 8 a.m. next Sunday at Shenango Wildlife Area. Participants will meet at the wildlife area parking area off Milligan East Road. The event will take place rain or shine, so dress appropriately for various weather conditions. Proper footwear for hiking on trails is recommended. Guests are welcome to bring spotting scopes, binoculars and cameras. A limited supply of binoculars will be provided for guests to use. SR 517 to be closed

EAST FAIRFIELD

State Route 517 will be closed Tuesday for three days just west of East Fairfield in Columbiana County for two culvert replacements, the Ohio Department of Transportation has announced.

ODOT’s maintenance crew will replace two pipes between Signal and Raley roads.

Beginning at the intersection of state Routes 45, 164, and 517, traffic will be detoured south on Route 45 to U.S. 30/state Routes 45 and 154, then east on U.S. 30/state Routes 45 and 154 east to state Route 7, north to state Route 558 west, back to state Route 517 and reverse. Work is expected to be completed Thursday.

Accounting seminar

Williamson College of Business Administration and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants will host accounting 2017 continuing education seminars as a part of a strategic initiative to bring high quality, in-demand professional development and continuing education programming to the region.
