Vintage cake toppers on display

WARREN

The Sutliff Museum’s current exhibit is “It Takes the Cake: Vintage Wedding Cake Toppers from 1913-1945.”

This exhibit features wedding cake toppers produced from 1913 through 1945 and includes rare finds such as kewpie doll cake toppers and couples with the groom dressed in military clothing. The toppers are made of glass, paper and wood.

The museum is located on the second floor of the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library at 444 Mahoning Ave. Admission is free. It is open Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3 to 6 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 1 to 4 p.m. For information, go to sutliffmuseum.org or call 330-395-6575.

Community band in spring concert

CANFIELD

The Canfield Community Concert Band will present a spring concert at 3 p.m. Sunday at Canfield High School, 100 Cardinal Drive.

There is no admission charge, but nonperishable food items and monetary donations will be accepted for Operation Blessing, a nonprofit organization that assists needy Mahoning County families.

Special guests performing with the band will be choral music students from Crestview High School.

The band is under the direction of Eric Bable, who is a music instructor at Crestview Local School District. Travis Beatty serves as assistant director.
