Fitch won the Mingo Bay Mike Johnson D-I bracket after defeating teams from West Virginia and Tennessee in Forest Hill, Va. Cole Constance was the winning pitcher in the semifinal against Logan, pitching five scoreless innings after giving up four in the first. Nick DeSalvo and Nick Bianco combined to pitch a complete game shutout against Unicoi County in the finals. Across both games, Mike Grazier had six hits, including two doubles and five RBIs. Chris Gerberry added four RBIs on five hits, including two doubles. Malik Caige knocked in three runs on four hits.

Niles 4, Warren Harding 0

The Red Dragons picked up three runs in the fifth and one more in the seventh. Tyler Srbinovich and Damion Coleman each had two hits and Marco DeFalco hit a two-run single. Corbin Foy pitched a complete-game shutout, striking out eight and walking one. Grant Williams had three hits for Harding.

Lisbon 7, Jackson-Milton 5

The Blue Devils tallied seven hits, including two apiece from C. Sweeney, M. Nenichka and N. Barnes. Sweeney drove in a run and scored twice. Nenicka had two RBIs. The Blue Jays rallied late, but couldn’t overcome a 6-1 deficit. They scattered nine hits. Sochl went 3 for 3 and Laster went 2-4 at the plate.

Western Reserve 15, Southington 0

J. DiCioccio pitched all five innings for the Blue Devils allowing one hit and striking out six. He also led the offense with a 3-for-4 outing at the plate, three RBIs and scored twice. J. Slaton went 4 for 4 and scored three times. W. Larimer had three hits, one RBI and scored twice. R. Demsky had two hits and scored twice. D. Windham and D. Smith both drove in two runs. W. Wildman had Southington’s only hit of the game.

LaBrae 10, Bristol 0

T. Morris went four innings and struckout seven for the win. M. Roberts went 3 for 3, scored twice and drove in two runs. C. Stoneman and E. Stishan each had two hits, scored twice and drove in one run. Sloan and Goelz each had a hit for Bristol.

Lowellville 5, Leetonia 4

Micah Mamula-Zarlingo got a walk off hit to lead Lowellville to victory. With the bases loaded he drove in the winning run for the Rockets. Pitcher Matt Hvisdak struck out eight batters in the game.

Hubbard 11, Girard 7

Kent Kroynovich paced the Hubbard offense with two hits and five RBI. Ryan Love also had teo hits for the Eagles. Nck DeGregory drove in three runs for Girard and Austin Claussell knocked in two.

McDonald 9, Southern 3

Zach Nolf singled and knocked in three runs for McDonald. Josh Celli was the winning pitcher, alloiwng one earned run and striking out 10.

West Branch 3, Salem 2, 13 innings

West Branch 8, Salem 5

Brant Alazaus had nine strikeouts and Connor Hedrick had eight for West Branch in game one of the doubleheader. Hedrick didn’t allow any runs over the last five innings, getting the win for the Warriors. Offensively they were led by Seth Schroder, who had three hits and a run, while Hedrick also had an RBI. Logan Wilms and Jerod Carner had a hit and an RBI each for Salem. West Branch (9-2) was led by their offense in game two. Jon Snyder, TJ DeShields, and Brant Alazaus scored two runs each. Snyder had three RBI and DeShields added two.

Columbiana 6, Berkshire 5

Chase Franken had two hits and two RBI to lead Columbiana (9-0) past Berkshire. Franken’s two RBIs came on a single in the top of the seventh with the Clippers down 5-4.

SOFTBALL

Hubbard 12, Girard 6

Hubbard broke a 6-6 tie with six more runs across the fifth, sixth and seventh innings. Addy Jarvis was 4 for 5 at the plate, including a two-run double. She also picked up the win on the mound, allowing zero runs on two hits with six strikeouts in relief. Jessica Dohy and Hanna Jones each has multi-hit games for Girard.

Alliance 3, Salem 2

Alliance’s Briana Bondini hit drove in the winning runs in the bottom of the seventh with two outs and the bases loaded. Clara Janofa was the losing pitcher for the Quakers (3-8, 0-5), going the distance with five strikeouts and no walks. At the plate, Janofa went 3 for 3 with two doubles and a run scored. Elly Exeline had two hits for Salem.

Brookfield 10, Pymatuning Valley 3

Gabby Schiska had four hits and Bailey Drapola had two doubles to lead the Brookfield offense. Kenzie Drapola had a two-run home run for the Warriors.

Mathews 6, Grand Valley 4

Alivia Oulton and Nicole Watts had two hits each for Mathews (8-0), and Bailey Hall homered. Leah Patterson homered and had two RBIs for Grand Valley (6-1). Abby Takacs had three hits.

Lowellville 9, Leetonia 2

Isabel Sotlar pitched a complete game with eight strikeouts. She also led the Rockets offense with three hits and two RBIs. Her sister, Olivia, belted a two-run homer. Marissa Lellio scattered three hits, scored three times and drove in a run. Hannah Johnston singled twice. Kemp had six strikeouts for Leetonia in the loss.
