Miss Rothbauer, Mr. Whitmer plan ceremony

The parents of Brittany Rothbauer and Andrew Whitmer, both of Youngstown, are announcing the engagement of their children. The bride-elect is the daughter of Eric and Rosemary Rothbauer of Boardman. The prospective groom is the son of Eric and Lyn Whitmer of Mineral Ridge.

An open wedding is planned for July 1 at St. Christine Church in Youngstown. Invitations will be issued for an evening reception at The Embassy.

Miss Rothbauer graduated from University of Mount Union with a degree in early-childhood education. She is a third-grade teacher for Western Reserve Local Schools in Berlin Center.

Mr. Whitmer graduated from Youngstown State University with a degree in English. He is a ninth- and 10th-grade English teacher and a football coach for Western Reserve Local Schools. He served as an infantryman in the U.S. Army.
