The Boardman Schools Fund For Educational Excellence Annual Reverse Raffle Dinner was a great success.

The Foundation raised nearly $20,000 with the help of many dedicated people who support the Boardman Schools.

More than 200 people attended the event at the Holiday Inn on March 10. Some went home with one of the gift baskets donated by Boardman Schools staff members. Others won money, and the final five tickets drawn in the raffle split the big $2,000 grand prize.

Since 2009, the Boardman Schools Fund For Educational Excellence, a component fund of the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley, has awarded more than $48,000 in teacher grant projects.

“Every great school system is supported by an even greater community,” said Fund President Joyce Mistovich. “To everyone who attended, donated or participated in this great evening, we thank you.”
