‘Devil with a Smile’ to premiere at Encore

“Devil with a Smile,” a new movie written by Earlina Gilford-Weaver and directed by David L. Walker, will premiere April 23 at 6 p.m. at Encore Cinema in Great East Plaza, Youngstown Warren Road.

Tickets are $10 at the door.

Weaver, formerly of Youngstown, is an evangelist who now lives in North Carolina. Her faith-based movies also include “Angry Tears” (2013), in which she laid bare her tragic life story of abuse.

Walker, of Niles, also directed “Angry Tears.” The cast of “Devil with a Smile” includes actors from Atlanta, North Carolina and the Youngstown area.

It is about a young woman who had been institutionalized in a mental hospital. She seeks revenge on those who abandoned her, and robbed her of the life she wanted.

The premiere screening will feature special guest Charles Clark of Empire One TV, and the gospel music act Half Mile Home.

The evening will begin with a red-carpet arrival ceremony at 6 p.m.
