“Spamalot,SDRq directed by Kandy Cleland and Jodine Pilmer, Stage Left Players, 234 E. Lincoln Way, Lisbon. Auditions from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday and 6 p.m. Sunday. Performances June 16-18 and 23-25. The cast calls for 12 men and seven women for this Monty Python comedy. Auditionees should bring sheet music to sing a short show tune and dress comfortably to learn a dance combination. “Princess Prudy’s Promise,SDRq directed by Jodine Pilmer and Kandy Cleland, Stage Left Youth Players, 234 E. Lincoln Way, Lisbon, auditions from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Performances May 19-21, with possible daytime school performances on the mornings of May 22 and 23. The cast calls for 34 kindergarten through sixth-graders for this telling of the classic story of “The Frog Prince.” Registration forms can be completed at StageLeftPlayers.org. Summer Stock season. The Kent State Trumbull Theatre, 4314 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren, will have more than 50 roles in three different shows available for actors of all ages. Shows include Disney’s “The Little Mermaid,” “The Brementown Musicians” and “Journey to Ohio.” Auditions will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Actors should be prepared to read from the script. Actors interested in “The Little Mermaid” should prepare a song in the style of the show and come dressed to move as well. Opera Western Reserve will have auditions, by appointment only, May 1 and 2 for principal roles in its productions of “Lucia di Lammermoor” (performance date: Nov. 10); “Porgy and Bess” (March 9, 2018); and “Madama Butterfly” (Nov. 16, 2018) at Stambaugh Auditorium.
