James Boots was recently appointed vice president, Bank of America Merrill Lynch Home Loans in Bank of America’s Canfield location. Linda Rutledge also recently joined the Canfield office as a mortgage loan consultant. Both recently worked for Huntington Bank.

In his new role, Boots is tasked with driving sales for his organization in Northern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania and working with high net worth individuals in the region.

Cassidy Advertising & Consulting, a local ad agency in Howland, recently added Tina Cascarelli as another new graphic designer on the creative team.

Cascarelli was a dean’s list student at Youngstown State University and graduated in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design. Her responsibilities at Cassidy Advertising include graphic design projects that appear on their clients’ websites, brochures, business cards, social media and other print and online marketing products.

NAMED

Farmers Trust Co. has named James R. Smail, a current member of Farmers National Banc Corp. Board of Directors and the Farmers Trust Company Board of Directors, as chairman of the Farmers Trust Company Board effective Jan. 1.

Smail has served as a member of the Board of Directors of Farmers Trust Co. since July 2015.

Smail has an extensive background in the banking, oil and gas and ranching businesses, having served as the chairman and director of Monitor Bancorp Inc. since 1972; chairman, director and CEO of J.R. Smail Inc. since 1975; and chairman of the Board of Monitor Ranch Inc. since 1992.

Victor recently won the international iF Design Award in the Product – Industry/Skilled Trades category for the EDGE Series 2.0 gas regulator.

Mechanical Engineering Youngstown State University alumnus and Austintown native Robert Boyer is the mechanical engineer who led the EDGE 2.0 design team.
