iSynergy, a digital advertising agency based in Boardman, is launching its first Digital Boost contest, benefiting one local nonprofit organization. The winning nonprofit will receive up to $50,000 worth of website design/development, logo design, print collateral design, content writing, content editing, SEO and website hosting for one calendar year.

Through May 1, nonprofit organizations can visit digitalboost.isynergy.io to submit an application for consideration. The top five finalist organizations will be notified of their status, and will be able to promote the contest via social media in an effort to win the overall popular vote.

Hospitality ‘gem’

Julia’s Bed & Breakfast, 6219 W. Liberty St., has proved once again that it is Hubbard’s’ hospitality “gem,” according to AAA East Central. It has maintained the AAA Four Diamond Rating designation consecutively since 2005.

Julia’s is part of a select group of hotels and restaurants in North America. Just 1,615 hotels and 665 restaurants made the AAA Four Diamond lists for 2017.

Each year, the Trumbull County Department of Job and Family Services operates a Summer Employment Program for young adults whose families are under the 150 percent poverty level.

Intake applications will be at the Trumbull County Department of Job and Family Services/ OhioMeansJobs, office at 280 North Park Ave. from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. today, April 22 and April 29; at Girard High School, 1244 Shannon Road in Girard from 3 to 6 p.m. April 12; and at Joseph Badger High School, 7119 state Route 7 in Kinsman from 3 to 6 p.m. April 26.

Applicants need to bring in photo ID, birth certificate, Social Security card, household income for the last 30 days, most recent report card and proof of residency.

US backs down on seeking anti-Trump user records

NEW YORK

The U.S. government has dropped its request for Twitter to produce records that could identify users behind an account opposed to President Donald Trump, the company said Friday.

As a result, Twitter is withdrawing a federal lawsuit that challenged the government’s request.
