ASSOCIATIONS

Mill Creek Chapter of ABWA will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. NARFE Chapter 14 will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, Austintown. Connie Jones, Mahoning Valley Historical Society, will discuss the steel mills of Youngstown in the 1940s. All active and retired federal employees are invited. Light refreshments will be served. Tri-Gold Prime Time Chapter of ABWA will have its 13th anniversary celebration Wednesday at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. Social will begin at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6. The menu consists of a choice of stuffed flounder, chicken francaise or Swiss jardiniere steak with red-skin potatoes, glazed carrots, tossed salad, rolls and ice cream for $21.50. Judy Conti Divas will entertain. This group is a union of two former chapters, Tri County and Gold Torch and members are working or retired. AUXILIARIES

St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital/St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital Auxiliary will meet at noon Monday in the private dining room of St. Elizabeth Hospital on Belmont Avenue. Guest speaker will be Patty Melnykovich, director of safety, emergency management and police department of Mercy Health Youngstown. Guests will include Chief Ryan Bonacci, Officer Nick Ritchie and Mako, the canine officer.

CLUBS

College Club of Sharon will meet Saturday in the fellowship hall of First Presbyterian Church, Sharon. Hospitality will be at 10 a.m. followed by the program at 10:30. Youngstown Mothers of Twins will meet at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Davidson-Becker Family Life Center in Struthers. Hostesses will be Thelma Clemente, Launa Martin and Michele Porter. GROUPS

Transcendental Interest Group will have its regular meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Park Vista North Lounge, 1310 Fifth Ave., Youngstown. Discussion will continue on comparative religions, and will feature a DVD lecture of Dr. Charles Kimball. The group is for those interested in exploring the inner way of knowing. Friends of the Boardman Library will meet Monday in the library community room. Donations of books, magazines, CDs and DVDs are collected the first and third Saturdays of the month from 9 a.m. until noon. Proceeds support the summer reading program.
