Warren man indicted in ‘Dragon Wagon’ fire

Ricky A. Mohn, 19, of Lancer Court in Warren, was indicted Tuesday on two counts of arson and two counts of breaking and entering in the Aug. 19 fire that destroyed the “Dragon Wagon,” a building at the Niles McKinley High School football stadium.

Mohn is scheduled for arraignment at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court. If convicted, he could get several years in prison or probation.

Mohn and three juveniles were charged with setting the building on fire early Aug. 19. They also broke into an outbuilding at Niles Middle School on Brown Street on Aug. 18, then broke into the concession stand on the visitor’s side of the high school stadium and set the “Dragon Wagon” ablaze early Aug. 19, police said.

Mohn also was charged in juvenile court with three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The three juveniles charged in the case are Brandon Swiger, 16, of Niles; Zachary Robinson, 15, of Warren; and Desmond Behner, 17, of Warren. Each was charged with two counts of breaking and entering and one count of arson.

The fire destroyed about $5,000 worth of merchandise in the building and destroyed the building, valued at about $1,500.
