Warren Harding on top in Region 5

Halfway through the high school football season, 14 teams are in position to make the postseason according to the Ohio High School Athletic Association computer ratings released on Tuesday.
Coming off last Friday’s 34-19 win over Ursuline, Warren Harding (5-0) owns the top spot in Division II Region 5. The top eight teams in each region qualify for the playoffs.
In Div. III, Howland (3-2) leaped up to four in Region 9 after last week’s 20-0 shutout of Hubbard. The Tigers are two spots ahead of Poland (3-2), which lost to Howland 35-34 two weeks ago. The Bulldogs rebounded with a 42-7 romp over Edgewood.
At eight in Region 9 is Niles (3-2), which defeated Poland, 26-23, in Week 2.
In Div. IV, Cardinal Mooney (4-1), which defeated Mentor Lake Catholic on Saturday, is four in Region 13.
Following the Cardinals are Struthers (4-1) at six, Hubbard (4-1) at seven and Lakeview (3-2) at eight.
Last Friday, Struthers defeated Canfield, 38-21 while Lakeview edged Niles, 21-20.
In Division V, unbeaten South Range is two after last Friday’s 55-8 thrashing of Lisbon. The Raiders (5-0) are one spot ahead LaBrae (3-2), which defeated Champion 43-6.
Two spots behind the Vikings is Liberty (3-2), which defeated Campbell 20-14.
In Div. VI, Lisbon (4-1) is four in Region 21, two spots ahead of Columbiana (4-1). In two weeks, Columbiana and Lisbon will play, most likely with a home playoff game on the line.
In Div. VII, Warren JFK (5-0) is three in Region 25, one spot ahead of Jackson-Milton (4-1). Last Saturday, the Eagles shut out Steubenville Catholic Central, 14-0.
