Cafe plans opening for Friday morning

YOUNGSTOWN

Cultivate, a co-op caf on Elm Street, will have its grand opening at 11 a.m. Friday.

A group of local farmers and food producers opened the cafe at 901 Elm St. that uses fruit and vegetables, eggs, cheeses and meats grown or produced on their farms throughout the Mahoning Valley.

The grab-and-go-style cafe is housed in a restored building that features a vintage art-deco bar.

Cultivate is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

The farmers will have a sneak peak of the cafe from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday with live music and small plates.

The ribbon cutting and grand opening is scheduled on Friday at 11 a.m. and will include special menu items, contests and drawings throughout the weekend.

4-H Paper Clover campaign planned

Tractor Supply Co., in partnership with National 4-H Council, recently announced the October launch of the 2016 Fall Paper Clover Campaign. From next Wednesday to Oct. 16, funds will be raised when Tractor Supply shoppers purchase a paper clover for $1 or more at the checkout and will be awarded as scholarships to individual 4-H members wishing to attend 4-H camps and leadership conferences across the country.

With the completion of the 2016 fall campaign, Tractor Supply and the National 4-H Council hope to reach the milestone of $10 million raised for 4-H members since the partnership began seven years ago.

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Berena’s Automotive Center, 624 Robbins Ave., at 10 a.m. Thursday.

Ribbon cutting set for Yaya’s Beehive

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Yaya’s Beehive, 6178 Youngstown-Hubbard Road, at 10 a.m. Friday.

Yaya’s Beehive offers gifts for all occasions, including housewarmings, weddings, birthdays and anniversaries. The shop has a variety of products such as high-fashion jewelry and accessories, Motives cosmetics, Skintelligence sets, Isotonix kits and supplements, TLS weight loss sets and gluten-free or organic food baskets.

Yaya’s Beehive is open by appointment Monday through Wednesday; 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday.
