Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt last week, alleging mistreatment by her husband

Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt last week, alleging mistreatment by her husband toward their oldest son. Here are some other high-profile Hollywood divorces:

v Douglas Fairbanks Sr. and Mary Pickford: In the 1910s and ’20s, mostly in the silent-screen era, he was the fearless swashbuckler with a romantic streak and she was America’s sweetheart, the “girl with the curls.”

v Elizabeth Taylor, et al: Taylor, famous in film since she was a kid, was married eight times, including twice to Richard Burton.

v Eddie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds: Fisher left the girl-next-door actress Reynolds, the mother of his two young children, for Taylor in 1959.

v Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger: The two were married from 1993 to 2001, and fought over custody of their child, Ireland Baldwin. In 2007, when Ireland was 11, a bitter voicemail Alec left for her leaked online, calling her a “rude, thoughtless little pig” for not answering his call.

v Johnny Depp and Amber Heard: He left his longtime partner, Vanessa Paradis, for Heard. When Heard filed for divorce earlier this year, alleging drunken rage and physical abuse, media and the public ate up the details, including Heard’s display of facial bruises and a video of a raging Depp she secretly shot at home.

“Criminal Minds” (9 p.m., CBS): “Criminal Minds” begins its 12th season needing to fill the void left by Shemar Moore, who quit, and Thomas Gibson, who was fired. In their place, Paget Brewster and Aisha Tyler were upped to series regulars, and Adam Rodriguez was brought on as a new agent.

“Younger” (10 p.m., TV Land): The Season 3 opener of “Younger” finds Liza sending Caitlin off to college. Meanwhile, she continues to weigh her feelings for Josh and Charles – the two guys tugging at her heart.
