BINGO/CARD PARTIES

Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church is sponsoring bingo Sunday at the Orthodox Center, 1025 N. Belle Vista, Youngstown. Doors open at noon and games begin at 2 p.m. They will be the same format as Monday and Wednesday bingos.

BOOK SALES

Hubbard Friends of the Library mega book sale runs Oct. 5 through 8 at the Hubbard Public Library, 436 W. Liberty St. Hours are 9 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. Oct. 5 and 6, 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Oct. 7 and 9 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Oct. 8, $2 a bag day. Prices will be from 25 cents to $1. CASINO NIGHTS

Austintown American Legion Post 301, 3652 Oakwood Ave., will host a Las Vegas Night and basket raffle at 7 p.m. Saturday. Tickets will be sold at the door for $5 per person.

CRAFT SHOWS

Girard First Baptist Church, 7 E. Kline St., will have its annual fall craft show from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Crafts, baked goods, pumpkins and food will be available.

Niles First Christian Church, 33 N. Arlington Ave., will have a craft show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Lunch will be available from 11 to 2.

DANCES

Canfield Presbyterian Church, 140 W. Main St., will host a Contra Dance from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday. The band One String Short will call out instructions. No need for partners. SALES

Bristolville United Methodist Church, Routes 46 and 88, will host a craft show in the church from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 8. Lunch will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tables rent for $15, call Linda at 330-889-9717. A trunk sale will be available in the township park. Spaces are $15 each, call Chuck at 330-889-9537. Spaces remaining on the day of sale will be $20 each. All proceeds will benefit the church. It is handicap accessible.

Covenant Life Fellowship, 5900 W. Liberty St. (Route 304), Hubbard, will sponsor a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. There will be household items, furniture, clothing, kitchenware and more.

Girard First Christian Church, 140 E. Broadway, will have a trash and treasure sale from 9 a.m. to 2 pm. Oct. 15. It will include a bake sale and light luncheon. Helping Hands Closet at Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, has new and gently used clothes for entire family. September sales will include teens through adult clothing at $1 per item. Children’s clothing through size 10 is 70 percent off. Not included in the sale are orange tickets, party and wedding attire.

Martin Luther Lutheran Church, 420 Clearmount Drive, Youngstown, is hosting its 30th annual Trash ’N Treasure sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, half-price after 2 p.m. For information call 330-788-8707.
