Crosby, Marchand lead Team Canada’s win
TORONTO
Sidney Crosby was at his best on one of hockey’s biggest stages.
Again.
Crosby scored once and assisted on both of Brad Marchand’s goals, including the winner early the third period, to help Canada beat Russia 5-3 on Saturday night in the World Cup of Hockey semifinals.
“He always comes up big in the big games,” Marchand said.
The Canadians will face the winner of the Sweden-Team Europe game today in the best-of-three finals.
Crosby opened the scoring at 7:40 into the game on a spectacular sequence, showing he has plenty of energy despite having a brief summer between winning the Stanley Cup and competing in the World Cup.
“It was short, but exciting, knowing we were coming here,” he said.
Sergei Bobrovsky made 16 of his 42 saves in the first period, keeping the Russians in it.
Heat’s Chris Bosh fails physical
miami
Chris Bosh’s plan to resume playing is now in jeopardy, after medical examinations performed in recent days convinced the Miami Heat that he is not healthy enough to return to the court.
And Bosh may have provided a clue why.
The Heat announced Friday that they still cannot clear Bosh for a resumption of basketball activities, based on the result of his preseason physical — a series of tests conducted over the past few days. Their announcement came two days after Bosh revealed in the first chapter of a documentary series about his saga that he had multiple clots in February.

Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott and Mesut Ozil provided the goals in the first half that gave Arsenal its first league win over Chelsea in five years. Chelsea hadn’t even allowed a league goal to Arsenal since January 2013 before this capitulation.
