Artist to lecture at Bliss Hall gallery

Artist Amber Kempthorn lectures 1 p.m. Monday in Bliss Hall’s Judith Rae Solomon Gallery on the campus of Youngstown State University.

The event is free and open to the public and is part of the YSU Department of Art Visiting Lecture Series.

Kempthorn earned a master of fine arts degree in Sculpture from Cranbrook Academy of Art, a Post Baccalaureate Certificate from Maryland Institute College of Art and a bachelor’s degree in art from Hiram College.

Her drawings are made with a combination of processes which characteristically reflect the period of printed matter produced from the 1920s to the 1960s.
