YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown City School District will host a series of community stakeholder meetings to discuss and clarify the dress code policy and answer questions.

The schedule is 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Harding Elementary, 1903 Cordova Ave.; 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, East High School, 474 Bennington Ave.; 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Discovery Program at Kirkmere, 2851 Kirk Road; and 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Chaney High School, 731 South Hazelwood Ave.

TMHA gets grant

WARREN

The U.S. Department of Labor awarded a $1,072,500 grant to the Trumbull Metropolitan Housing Authority for its YouthBuild program. The program helps young men and women in Trumbull County equip themselves to be successful in the workforce and engaged in their communities. YouthBuild provides job training and work opportunities for at-risk youth between age 16 and 24.

Assault reported

CAMPBELL

Police are investigating after a woman reported her ex-boyfriend broke into her house and assaulted her.

A 35-year-old woman told police the man forced his way into the window of her Tremble Avenue home about 3:30 a.m. Friday. Officers photographed injuries to the woman’s facial area, a police report states. She declined an ambulance ride to a hospital for treatment. As of late Friday afternoon, charges had not been filed against the man, a Campbell Municipal Court clerk said.

Watch meeting

YOUNGSTOWN

Lincoln Knolls Community Watch will meet from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the East Branch Library, 430 Early Road. The speaker will be from the Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corp.

Memorial planned

WARREN

A memorial is set for 6 p.m. Sunday at the Log Cabin, near Courthouse Square at the intersection of Mahoning Avenue Northwest and West Market Street Southwest, to mark the National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims. The event will include a speaker, balloon launch and refreshments.

Auditor award

COLUMBUS

State Auditor Dave Yost has given the Auditor of State Award to the village of East Palestine for its exemplary financial audit, which contains no findings for recovery, material citations or weaknesses, significant deficiencies or questioned costs.

CAMPBELL

The Campbell City Schools district has launched an official Facebook page. Community members can “like” or visit the page for district information updates and event reminders.

Flu shot clinic set

CANFIELD

A flu shot clinic will take place from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Canfield United Methodist Church, 27 S. Broad St.

No appointment is needed, but vaccine recipients should bring their driver’s licenses and Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance cards to enable insurance billing.

Charges are $40 or $55, depending on the vaccine to be administered, but flu shots are free with most insurances. The Mahoning County District Board of Health is sponsoring the clinic.
