Nature art show set at McKeever

Nature artists will display and sell their work during the 14th annual Nature Art Show this weekend at McKeever Environmental Learning Center, 55 McKeever Lane.

Hours are from 6 to 9 p.m. today, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. Refreshments will be available. Admission is free and open to the public. For information, call 724-376-1000 or visit www. mckeever.org.

‘Spooktacular’ time at witches night out

VOLANT, PA.

Calling all witches and warlocks – fire up that broomstick and fly over to the “spooktacularly” transformed village for a wicked evening of enchanting activities on Saturday.

Enjoy tantalizing treats and mystery sales throughout the village from 4 to 9 p.m. New this year is Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry.

Wear your ghoulish attire and enter the best costumed adult and child contest as you parade down Main Street. Registration is from 4 to 5 p.m. with the parade following.

Dance the night away at Creative Talents, 700 Main St., with music provided by Sleepin’ Dogz from 6 to 9 p.m.

For a small fee, purchase a witch hat, or have your tarot cards read. Proceeds benefit the Volant Mills’ restoration project.

Daytime activities from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. include a farmer’s market featuring fresh Amish donuts along with Amish-made breads, cookies, pies, jams, jellies, fresh produce, alpacas and local honey featuring a live beehive demonstration.
