GOP vice presidential candidate stumps for Trump in Leetonia on Wednesday

LEETONIA - Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, the Republican vice presidential nominee, will have a rally Wednesday at Leetonia High School.

The rally will begin at 6 p.m. with doors opening at 3:30 p.m., according to the website of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

Those wanting to get free tickets to the Pence event in Leetonia need to RSVP at https://www.donaldjtrump.com/schedule/register/leetonia-oh/

This will be Pence's third visit to the Mahoning Valley. He joined Trump at an invitation-only event July 15 at Youngstown State University, and at the Canfield Fair on Sept. 5. Pence made brief remarks at YSU and didn't address the crowd at the fair.

Rumors of Pence's visit began to circulate early today, but a Trump campaign spokesman said at the time that he is only able to confirm campaign visits after they appear on Trump's website.

Polls in Ohio show the Republican ticket with a narrow 1.8-percentage-point lead over the Democratic ticket of Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine, according to Real Clear Politics, a website that aggregates polling data.
